No hot water. Threatened by security to not save seats at pool. My wife fell at pool receiving black eye and three broken teeth and only thing they were interested in was getting us to sign a release form. Hotel staff did not follow up with us on the injury.

Got a villa but no cleaning for 4 days until complained. Top floor had no hot water for first few days. AC unit dripped water on kitchen divider. Jetted tub jets were black with grime. Servers and staff were very nice. Pools and bars nice, food decent but poor service on second visit to steak house-asked for water/wine refills which we never got. Also we’re not offered any dessert.

1500 Characters is not enough for a full review. I’ll attach a photo of the full review because I wanted to do a review of the hotel and the area in general and what to expect. It was our first time going and I did a lot of research, and it was clear others did not when we got there. Basics about travelersMy wife (33) and I (34) went without our kids. We are introverts. We stayed for a week. We went with a budget, but it was fairly high knowing we planned to travel and a basic understanding of the tipping culture of area. Arrival at AirportThe airport was surprisingly easy. When going to shuttle you will be harassed by salespeople and time share salesmen. We simply did no eye contact and kept walking. No one seemed offended by this. When you get outside look for a sign with the logo of whomever you booked a shuttle with. They’ll ask for your name and get you going. It was surprisingly easy. We didn’t use buses but it seemed like that wouldn’t be to hard either but the private shuttles are cheap so I’d recommend it. I’m told taxis will rip you off so negotiate price before you get in. Our experience in Cancun has led us to believe they will rip you off any chance they get.

Yes, all-inclusives are worth it for travelers who just want to relax on their honeymoon or vacation. When you stay at an all-inclusive resort, all meals and beverages are usually already paid for, as are many onsite activities.
Do you need money at an all-inclusive resort? ›
Credit cards are gold around these parts but it's still a good idea to bring cash along when you travel, even on an all-inclusive vacation. While you won't be paying for meals or drinks, it's a good idea to make friends with your bartender at the beginning of the trip by leaving a tip up front.
Are there hidden fees in all-inclusive resorts? ›Not only do most all-inclusive properties come without any hidden fees, but they also include your meals, drinks and some of your entertainment within the nightly rate. Best of all, you can book an all-inclusive resort stay for free — including without any resort fees — by using points and miles.
Can I wear jeans in Cancun? ›Mexican style includes everything from traditional dresses to fashionable jeans and stylish tops. Most Mexicans dress more modestly, including wearing jeans and pants even in the warmest months. Packing dresses, lightweight long pants, and capris will help you blend in more, especially outside of coastal areas.
Do you need a sweater at night in Cancun? ›If you are traveling to Cancun during January or February, you may want to pack a light sweater for the evenings. What is this? You'll definitely want a sarong or a shall that you can wear when you go from hot and humid into ice-cold air conditioning. You'll also want it in case you get sunburn.
What to wear to the airport going to Cancun? ›Wear lots of layers!!!
I like to wear clothes with lots of layers so that I can easily adjust what I'm wearing if it's hot or cold. I usually wear both a scarf and jacket to the airport with a light T-shirt or dress underneath, so that I can take both of them off once I arrive.
Should I exchange money before I travel to Cancun? Speaking of cash, yes, you'll want to exchange your currency for Mexican pesos before traveling to Cancun. You'll get a better rate from your local bank or credit union than you'll find at the airport once you've arrived in Mexico.
What is the safest area to stay in Cancun? ›✅ The Hotel Zone
The Hotel Zone (or Zona Hotelera) is, by far, one of the safest areas in Cancun. As its name indicates, The Hotel Zone is a long strip along the Cancun beach lined with hotels, most of them all-inclusive.
Using taxis in Cancun from the airport is not recommended, there are few regulations and many political struggles with the taxi unions and pirate taxis looking to take advantage of travelers arriving at the Cancun airport without pre-arranged transportation.
Do you go through customs when leaving Cancun? ›Customs Procedures at Cancun Airport
During the inbound flight, you will receive and need to fill out a customs form (Hacienda). After passing through immigration, you collect your bags and proceed to the exit. You will hand the form to the customs agent and press the button on what looks like a traffic light.
